The Russell Domingo era in Bangladesh cricket has come to an end. He is no longer the Bangladesh team's head coach. Last night, he handed in his resignation letter to BCB. The situation was revealed to the media by Jalal Yunus, the head of BCB's cricket management department.

Since the series' last Test against India, rumors surrounding Domingo's job have circulated. On the same day, Jalal Yunus announced changes to the coaching staff. But, to be honest, nothing was known that day. By Wednesday morning, it was clear that Domingo had resigned.
Domingo's connection with BCB had been strained since the previous Asia Cup. As his successor in T20, BCB chose India's Sreedharan Sriram as coach. Domingo was not in the Bangladesh team for the T20 World Cup as a result of this.
