D-Day has arrived! Season 2 of Alice in Borderland has finally arrived on Netflix after months of anticipation. The Japanese series, like its Korean cousin, Squid Game, has captured the hearts of viewers. Bloodthirsty games, tension, lovable characters... the first eight episodes of Alice in Borderland have been a huge hit! And the users of the streaming network were eagerly anticipating the continuation of Arisu and Usagi's adventures. It's now a possibility! And it's a good guess that many people will put on their plaid come Thursday, December 22, to binge-watch this season 2. What a great idea right before the holidays...!
What is the pitch? Arisu is a video game addict with a slightly chaotic existence. He finds himself in the middle of a virtually abandoned Tokyo, accompanied by his two best pals. They will then have to engage in bizarre games in order to survive. A gory dystopia that keeps the audience guessing every minute. As a refresher, the first season closes with Arisu and Usagi discovering who is one of the game's mistresses and having to struggle to reclaim new cards... What is in store for them in the future? This is what Season 2 of Alice in Borderland will reveal. However, there are so few fresh episodes accessible that fans are now questioning if there will be another season.
What about season 3 of Alice in Borderland?
If the original and eponymous manga of Alice in Borderland does not end with the events of season 2, the issue of whether Netflix would continue the series for a third season arises. There is currently no word about a probable release date. Despite speculations to the contrary, she is reportedly in the works at the streaming behemoth. Anyway, the season 2 announcement came around two weeks after the first season aired. So it's reasonable to assume that we'll have more information by January 2023.
