The corpse of the deceased man was found by a maid. The guy, who was 41 years old, was discovered to have a chisel embedded in his neck. On Thursday, November 3, he had booked into the hotel among other French troops who were also staying there. Up to the 3rd of January, he was scheduled to remain there.
According to statements made by police sources that were cited in the local media, there was no proof of a break-in. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death has been launched.
France is now spearheading a mission in Romania that was initiated in reaction to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The operation's objective is to improve the defense of NATO's eastern flank over the course of time.
The majority of French military personnel are stationed in the Cincu facility in the country's geographic center, which was recently visited by the French Minister of Defense, Sébastien Lecornu.
