James Garner's departure from Manchester United was confirmed on Thursday evening, and the club has confirmed that he will be joining Everton.
The transfer cost is now set at nine million pounds, but it has the potential to go to fifteen and a half million pounds depending on incentives.
Since he was a youngster, Garner has been a member of the club, and during the 2016–17 season, he was given the opportunity to participate in junior football for the first time. After that, he was a force to be reckoned with in the juniors as well as on the reserve squad, where he was often considered for player of the year honors. Due to Garner's outstanding accomplishments at the youth level, he was promoted to the A squad at a very young age.
During the 2019 season, he was also required to make his debut with the A-team in a game against Crystal Palace. Garner was only able to participate in a maximum of seven first-team games throughout his time at United. Instead, he spent a significant portion of his tenure on loan, first at Watford and then at Nottingham Forest, where he was an integral part of the club's rise to the Premier League and was a key contributor to the team's success.
