PV Sindhu, a badminton player from India, has triumphed to become the champion of the Singapore Open 2022 by creating a splash. PV Sindhu, a two-time Olympic winner, won the match by defeating Wang Ji Yi of China 21-9, 11-21, 21-15 in the final. Sindhu is a two-time Olympic champion.
In the earlier semifinal match, PV Sindhu, a badminton star ranked seventh in the world, won in straight games against Saina Kawakami, a Japanese player who was not seeded. The semifinal match had been an easy victory for Sindhu, as she had won 21-15 and 21-7. There was not a single instance of Japanese star Kawakami overshadowing Sindhu.
Beating the world's No. 11 ranked player, Wang Ji Yi, was not an easy task for Sindhu. Sindhu began the match, which included of three games, by claiming victory in the first game. Sindhu got off to a winning start. In the opening game, he beat the Chinese player Wang by a score of 21-9. After then, Wang staged a comeback and won the second game 21-11, bringing the match to a tie.
The third and final game, which was a very intense one, began from this location. Both players were giving each other a run for their money up until the first 8–10 points were scored. But PV Sindhu eventually grabbed control of the match and won the third game by a score of 21-15, clinching the championship for herself in the process.
