On Wednesday, the Chancellery will propose preliminary recommendations for the federal-state summit. As a result, the corona measures should be phased off in three stages.

The federal and state governments want to scale away population limits in the corona epidemic in three stages. As a result, all important limitations may be abolished as of March 20th.

According to the Tagesspiegel, the prohibition on private meetings with 10 individuals should be repealed soon. Furthermore, a statewide rule should be implemented soon allowing for unrestricted access in retail, with the usage of FFP2 masks still suggested. This is already a reality in several nations.

The ideas are based on the Chancellery's original draft resolution, which might yet be amended when Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) meets with the Prime Ministers' Conference on Wednesday.

In a further phase, beginning March 4th, the 3G rule will apply to entry to restaurants and lodging - in addition to those who have been vaccinated and those who have recovered, those who have not been vaccinated will be permitted to enter bars or motels with a daily test. In discotheques and clubs, however, 2G-Plus should be enforced, i.e. test or booster evidence even for vaccinated and recovered individuals. This also applies to important events when a spectator limit has not yet been established.

On March 20th, all so-called protective measures may be lifted. This should therefore apply to the home office requirement as well. At the very least, "low-threshold" fundamental measurements should still be available.

Furthermore, it should be investigated if and how the Infection Protection Act should be amended with an eye on the next autumn. However, there is nothing solid in the paper concerning this.

The contentious vaccination mandate in the health and care industry is set to take effect in March, with employees required to demonstrate that they have been vaccinated, have recovered, or cannot be immunized due to medical reasons.
