Gelgi and the current world's tallest male record holder are both Turkish natives.
A Turkish woman with a height of 215.16 cm is known as the world's tallest woman.
Rumeysa Gelgi, 24, was honored by Guinness World Records (GWR).
The woman's extraordinary height was caused by a disease known as Weaver Syndrome, according to the world record recognition authority.
This condition causes an individual's growth to be abnormal.
Gelgi and the current world's tallest male record holder are both Turkish natives.
Gelgi's measurements were taken this year after she was named the world's tallest adolescent girl at the age of 18 in 2014.
Gelgi could only walk for a short distance due to his unique height, thus he had to rely on a wheelchair for the rest of his journey.
Gelgi took advantage of the chance to educate the public about the unique circumstance he found himself in.
"Every flaw may be transformed into a competitive advantage. Accept yourself as you are, recognize your potential, and give it your all "He told CNN about it.
Meanwhile, GWR Editor-in-Chief Craig Glenday claimed Gelgi informed him that his height attracts a lot of attention.
Despite this, the majority of individuals were friendly and supportive of the woman.
"It's a privilege to recognize Gelgi for holding this record.
"Her enthusiasm and pride serve as a source of inspiration.
"I'm extremely happy to share this news with the public since the category of highest surviving ladies isn't always interchangeable," she added.
