Bulgaria and Romania are the most corrupted nations of EU according to  Transparency International's Corruption Perception Index of 2020. Both countries secured the position of 69th among 180 countries around the globe. Though these neighbours are are most corrupted in EU, they have been able to improve their ranking from last years survey where they were at 74th and 70th respectively.

Al Jazeera, a Qatar based news agency's latest report shows the corruption about Bulgaria's black sea coast.

The coast is protected from any harmful  activities such as big infrastructure project for rare and endangered marine lives by both Bulgarian and EU laws.

But on the report Al Jazeera shows that there a very good number of illegal builds can be seen near beach. Report shows that luxurious hotels are being built in the name of 'protecting walls of coastal erosion '.

A local councillor, Dimitar Naidenov says in the report, " The corruption is spread up in Bulgaria since we joined the European Union. And since the Bulgarian mafia get their hands on EU funds  "

Due to several allegations EU once stopped billions of Euros for Bulgaria of Aid in 2014. But as an EU member, the country received €10 billion funding in last six years. But results are not satisfactory.

It should be noted that Moldova is the most corrupted country of whole Europe continent which ranked 115 in 2020.
